Thanks to the Dublin Event Guide, I heard about this amazing Irish ‘Early House’ cover band live concert taking place at the Whelan’s, Dublin 2 (Ireland) on Saturday 16th April 2016.

FUNK AND SOUL MUSIC COVERS

I didn’t regret attending it! Great musicians and singers. They played hits from famous singers such as James Brown, Amy Winehouse, Doobie Brothers, Etta James, Sly and Family Stone, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and so much more.

James Brown biographical film

I have watched the brilliant James Brown biographical film ‘Get on Up’ at the IMC Screen Cinema on Townsend street in Dublin.

It is a chronicle of James Brown’s rise from extreme poverty to become one of the most influential musicians in history.

The film lasts 2h30 but time flew! I consider it a must-see for all funk and soul fans!
